MANAGED HOSTED CLOUDFully managed, flexible outsourced cloud infrastructure

MakTech ICT Services provides outsourced cloud infrastructure as a fully managed service. It is easily scalable and highly elastic. It is also completely agnostic, allowing an organisation to choose how to configure its infrastructure, what platforms and what software to run on it. A managed hosted Cloud solution enables an organisation to create a reliable cloud infrastructure that matches business needs, without having to incur the costs of the skills and resources required to build and manage it. This delivers business value without requiring any upfront investment, and without the overheads of an in-house IT infrastructure.

MANAGED PRIVATE CLOUDMaximises the return on infrastructure investment

This is the solution for businesses that wish to keep their infrastructure in-house, while still benefiting from the cloud computing model. These businesses have typically invested significant funds in infrastructure and hardware and want to continue using them, or simply do not want to use an off-site outsourced cloud infrastructure. Our Managed Private Cloud service allows a business to turn its existing infrastructure into a private cloud, by means of a Cloud Manager orchestration engine running on the in-house equipment. It enables infrastructure expansion while retaining legacy systems, eliminating the need for expensive migrations and new software systems. This maximises return on IT investment.

CLOUD FILRSecure file sharing with ease of access

MakTech ICT Services’ Cloud Filr is a simple, enterprise-grade file sharing system that allows approved company users to upload, share and access company documents and information very securely. Any type of file, of any size, can be shared. Users have the ability to access files from any device at any time and full mobility is enabled – files can be accessed on any mobile device, without the device having to be online. It is BYOD-ready, allowing businesses to take advantage of the growing trend for users to supply their own devices – without compromising data security. Files and data remain where they are, either in the company’s established in-house file storage facility or in a secure off-site data vault environment.

HYBRID CLOUD SERVICESTurn the cloud into an extension of the company infrastructure

The Hybrid Cloud allows a business to combine its own infrastructure with a Managed Hosted Cloud to create a single, customised cloud infrastructure. Existing infrastructure and legacy systems are retained as a Private Cloud, which is integrated with a broader cloud infrastructure, with full redundancy and backup capabilities. Workloads and data can move freely between the private and hosted clouds. Some business systems can run in the hosted cloud and others in the private cloud. If required, outside access can be granted to some parts of the infrastructure – for example, to give business partners access to data for campaign purposes – while keeping the rest of the infrastructure secure and private.

DESKTOP VIRTUALISATIONIncreased business agility with improved cost control

The Desktop Virtualisation capacity of MakTech ICT Services’ Virtual Office allows a business to create customised desktops for its users, using applications and information stored in the cloud. Users can access desktops wherever they are, on a range of devices – from a desktop computer to a smartphone. Work interfaces can be individually tailored and provisioned for each person in an organisation. It offers excellent flexibility, while enabling a high level of control to be maintained over how users access and use company data. It removes the need for individual hardware, software or licensing purchases, and maintenance and upgrade fees. This means that IT provisioning for company users no longer relies on CAPEX. It uses a monthly lease pricing model, where a fixed, predefined fee is charged per month, per user. This allows an organisation to scale up or down as needed. Automation and self-provisioning allows a business to save up to 90% of the time and money it would otherwise commit to these basic IT operations.

CLOUD APLICATION OPTIMISATIONFully managed Optimisation as a service.

MakTech ICT Services has developed a range of Optimisation products that ensure accelerated and optimized application delivery from the NUBE Cloud network, or any global Cloud service offering (e.g. Microsoft Azure). The Optimisation-as-a-service (OaaS) product portfolio includes a range of critical services options which provide companies with the transparency and control they need to manage and protect the delivery of their most critical applications, whether from the Internet or in a WAN.
They include:Visibility: Our OaaS visibility offers customers a detailed and granular view of all applications entering their network from the Internet, public cloud platforms or private data centers.
Control: The second service in our Optimisation strategy is based on allocated specific metrics and network resources to each application discovered above. Enabling control (QOS) once these metrics have been define with ensure that application traffic is identified and protected where required.
Optimisation: Our final service provides companies with an ability to accelerate application performance of Cloud applications using specific technology such as TCP IP Acceleration, Caching, Compression and De duplication.

CLOUD MANAGERSimple, quick, efficient control of cloud infrastructure

MakTech ICT Services’ Cloud Manager is the central control interface for our Managed Hosted Cloud, Managed Private Cloud and Hybrid Cloud services. It provides a holistic view of the entire cloud infrastructure and one single point of management. The interface is initially used to set up the infrastructure platform. Once this has been created, it is used to provision all the necessary Software as a Service (SaaS) applications onto the platform. It allows the cloud infrastructure to be scaled up or down to suit business requirements at any given time. This makes it much easier to tailor IT infrastructure than is the case with in-house infrastructure provisioning. It also helps to stop virtual server sprawl, by allowing predefined dates to be set for workloads to start and end. This enables a business to manage its infrastructure and the associated costs more effectively, and to avoid infrastructure wastage.

CLOUD BACKUP – SERVER AND END USERSecure, reliable business data backup with rapid recovery

MakTech ICT Services’ Cloud Backup provides reliable cloud-based data backup and recovery, with proactive data administration and monitoring. Data is automatically backed up according to a predefined schedule. This process is fully managed and requires no manual intervention. Data is completely secured and protected from the moment it leaves the organisation’s servers. It is safely stored in a secure, mirrored, off-site data centre. This allows a business to meet its governance and compliance requirements. Recovery is also automated. The data that needs to be recovered is selected and MakTech ICT Services’ Cloud Backup automatically restores it. Emphasis is placed on rapid recovery, to minimise business interruption.

Two backup solutions are offered:

Cloud Backup – Servers
Cloud Backup – End User

BUSINESS INTELLIGENCEGet to Know Your Subscribers and Your Network, to Make Informed Decisions

Communications service providers (CSPs) make important strategic decisions every day – What new services should we explore? Where should capital investments go? Should we introduce more CDNs? – and NUBE has a long history of providing the critical insight on which informed decisions are based. With MakTech ICT Services , you can measure what matters – including volume, time, events, and even video and web browsing subscriber quality of experience – and consume the data however you want: in our Network Demographics reporting interface, our Network Analytics dashboards, or your own big data and customer experience management (CEM) systems. With this information, you won’t find yourself wondering what’s happening on your network ever again — you’ll know with certainty.

IP TELEPHONY AND COLLABORATIONHosted Communications – no CAPEX

Our IP Telephony services offer high-quality telecommunications, while integrating with leading-edge technology. We can help you reach optimal business efficiency and maximise the value you get for your telecommunications spend. These solutions are designed to be the voice backbone of a forward-looking Unified Communications (UC) platform that allows companies to use the very latest communication and collaboration technologies and techniques. We’ll give you a smooth, interruption-free transition to IP-based communication. Our IP Telephony in the Cloud is a fully managed IP cloud telephony solution. It’s simplicity itself: we host everything, including all PBX features and functionalities in our data centre, and you rent everything you need through the cloud. There’s no need to worry about physical components, because we use a virtual PBX instance that runs across a multi-tenanted rack. Because services and workplaces are standardised, management is simplified and costs reduced. This means that you can provision your users yourself – giving your business exibility, scalability and improved customer responsiveness. They can also be auto provisioned on a single portal. MakTech ICT Services’ IP Telephony in the Cloud is network-agnostic. The big benefit of this for your business is that we give you free on-net calls. Voice minutes are charged on a usage-based model. You can see all your billing online and use the workflow provided to provision and approve additional features that you wish to add. MakTech ICT Services’ IP Telephony in the Cloud also incorporates the Cisco Jabber client.

CLOUD WORKLOAD REPLICATIONReliable disaster recovery with minimised running costs

MakTech ICT Services’ Workload Replication addresses all the backup and disaster recovery needs of small and medium enterprises that have remote or branch office sites. It is designed to use a minimum of computing resources, to reduce monthly DR running costs and prevent you paying foridle computing power when you’re not using it. This pay-per-use model allows resources to be increased or decreased as needed, and eliminates the need for upfront capital investment in a data recovery solution. Workload Replication enables data centres to protect server workloads (operating systems, applications and data) within a single bootable recovery environment. Effective whole workload virtual replication gives mirror-like performance at tape backup prices. Frequent incremental replications reduce recovery time to as low as 30 minutes. This also avoids the hassles of manual system rebuilding and data restoration in the event of a disaster. Because everything is on virtual standby, restoration is a matter of a single click. As soon as the disaster alert is received, it’s simply a matter of switching on the virtual standby workload. Disaster recovery testing is also easy, reliable and safe. You can quickly create snapshots of the recovery archives and run them in separate testing environments to make sure that they will restore correctly in the event of a real disaster. This is an invaluable fail-safe mechanism to quickly validate your recovery plan. Workload Replication supports multiple recovery points, allowing you to revert to the last known good state of a protected workload.
